Meet Our Therapist
Alexander Kierulf, our lead therapist, brings a wealth of knowledge and a unique perspective to Heartful Psychotherapy. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Ateneo de Manila University and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from London Metropolitan University, Alexander’s educational background is robust.
Alexander’s journey includes an internship in a psychological ward in the Philippines, where he gained invaluable experience in clinical psychology. His academic knowledge is complemented by practical expertise, making him a skilled and compassionate therapist.
Having lived in Japan for seven years and being married to a Japanese national, Alexander has developed a deep understanding of Japanese culture and language. He knows firsthand the challenges faced by foreigners and has a profound respect for cultural differences. This unique perspective makes him a bridge between cultures and a guide to those seeking support in Japan.
